Why handbells?
Handbells are an extremely accessible instrument! Let us show you how easy it can be to play beautiful music — if you can swing your arms and count to 4 we’ll teach you the rest. If you’ve ever cheered a drink with friends, swung a cricket bat or stirred a pot you’re already familiar with some of our regular moves.
Handbells are a beautiful family of instruments with a rich global history. Bells are known as heralds of peace, change, news and celebration. Our handbells have a direct lineage from European tower bell ringing. Today we use handbells and chimes to play classical, festive, pop, contemporary, ambient, R&B, rock & musical theatre.
